Terms of Service

Article 1Purpose

  1. 1.These Terms of Service govern the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between the operator of sendstage (the “Company”) and members in connection with sendstage, a real-time chat service comprising chat SDKs, APIs, and an operations dashboard (the “Service”).

Article 2Definitions

  1. 1.“Service” means the real-time chat SDKs, APIs, operations dashboard, and all related features provided by the Company.
  2. 2.“Member” means an individual or legal entity that agrees to these terms, enters into a service agreement with the Company, and uses the Service.
  3. 3.“Project” means a service unit a member creates in the dashboard to integrate chat into their own app or web service.
  4. 4.“End user” means a person who uses chat features through an app or web service operated by a member.
  5. 5.“Content” means any data — including messages and files — that end users send or receive through the Service.

Article 3Effect and Amendment of Terms

  1. 1.These terms take effect when posted on the website or dashboard, or otherwise communicated to members.
  2. 2.The Company may amend these terms within the bounds of applicable law. Amendments, including the effective date and reasons, will be announced at least 7 days before they take effect.
  3. 3.Amendments unfavorable to members will be announced at least 30 days in advance and notified individually by email or other available means.
  4. 4.If a member continues to use the Service without objecting by the effective date of an amendment, the member is deemed to have agreed to the amended terms.

Article 4Formation of the Service Agreement

  1. 1.The service agreement is formed when a prospective member agrees to these terms, creates an account in the dashboard following the Company's procedures, and the Company accepts the application.
  2. 2.The Company may refuse acceptance or later terminate the agreement for legitimate reasons, such as use of another person's information, provision of false information, or a history of violating applicable law or these terms.

Article 5Provision of the Service

  1. 1.The Company provides members with the following:
  2. 2.Real-time chat SDKs (JavaScript, iOS, Android, Unity) and a REST API
  3. 3.An operations dashboard for managing channels, messages, and end users, including moderation features such as banned-word filters, reports, and suspensions
  4. 4.Additional features such as push notifications, real-time automatic translation, and file attachments
  5. 5.Any other services the Company develops or provides to members through partnerships
  6. 6.The Service is in principle available 24 hours a day, year-round. It may be temporarily suspended with prior notice for system maintenance or other operational needs.

Article 6Changes and Suspension of the Service

  1. 1.The Company may change all or part of the Service for operational or technical reasons, with prior notice for significant changes.
  2. 2.The Company may temporarily suspend the Service in unavoidable circumstances such as natural disasters, power outages, or equipment failures.
  3. 3.All or part of any service provided free of charge may be changed or discontinued according to Company policy.

Article 7Member Obligations

  1. 1.Members are responsible for keeping their credentials secure, including account information, API keys, and access tokens, and bear any losses arising from negligent management.
  2. 2.Members must not use the Service to distribute content that violates the law or public order, or to transmit spam or malicious code.
  3. 3.Members must not interfere with the normal operation of the Service, nor reverse-engineer, copy, or resell the SDKs or APIs without the Company's prior written consent.
  4. 4.Members must comply with laws applicable to their end users' use of the Service (including data protection laws) and complete any required notices and consents toward their end users.

Article 8Company Obligations

  1. 1.The Company strives to provide the Service continuously and reliably in accordance with applicable law and these terms.
  2. 2.The Company maintains security measures to protect members' personal information and publishes and complies with its Privacy Policy.
  3. 3.The Company will promptly address member feedback and complaints it deems legitimate.

Article 9Content and Data Handling

  1. 1.Rights to and responsibility for content sent and received by end users rest with the member; the Company processes such content only to the extent necessary to provide the Service.
  2. 2.The Company protects content with encryption in transit and at rest.
  3. 3.Message logs are retained for 6 months to provide the Service and support operations, then deleted on a rolling basis.
  4. 4.Members may view and delete content via the dashboard or API. Upon termination of the agreement, the Company deletes content in accordance with applicable law.

Article 10Intellectual Property

  1. 1.Intellectual property rights in the Service, SDKs, APIs, dashboard, and related documentation belong to the Company.
  2. 2.Intellectual property rights in content that members submit or transmit through the Service remain with the member or the respective rights holder.
  3. 3.Members receive a non-exclusive right to use the SDKs and related materials as needed to use the Service, and may not transfer or sublicense it to third parties.

Article 11Termination and Restriction of Use

  1. 1.Members may request termination of the agreement at any time via the dashboard or our contact channels.
  2. 2.If a member violates these terms, the Company may demand correction, restrict use of the Service, or terminate the agreement.
  3. 3.For serious violations or imminent risks to other members or end users, the Company may restrict use without prior notice and will state the reasons afterward.

Article 12Limitation of Liability

  1. 1.The Company is exempt from liability when it cannot provide the Service due to force majeure or comparable events.
  2. 2.The Company is not liable for service disruptions caused by reasons attributable to the member.
  3. 3.The Company is not responsible for the substance of content sent or received by end users and, unless otherwise required by applicable law, bears no liability in connection with services provided free of charge.

Article 13Governing Law and Disputes

  1. 1.These terms are interpreted and applied under the laws of the Republic of Korea.
  2. 2.The Company and members will endeavor to resolve disputes arising from use of the Service through mutual consultation; failing that, either party may bring the matter before a court with jurisdiction under the Civil Procedure Act.

AddendumEffective Date

  1. 1.These terms are scheduled to take effect on July 1, 2026.
